Russell Wilcox (ext. 1118) came to Hayes Barton UMC as the Business Administrator in 1999 after twelve years at Christ Episcopal Church in the same role. At Hayes Barton, he oversees all aspects of the day-to-day expenses, payroll, and financial records, and is actively involved with our Board of Trustees. 

 

In addition to his fellowship in the the National Association of Church Business Administration, Russell holds an undergraduate degree in organ and has served several churches in North Carolina and his native Texas as an organist and choirmaster. He currently spends Sunday mornings just down the road from Hayes Barton leading the music in worship at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Tricia Ligon (ext. 1132) has been a lifelong member of Hayes Barton UMC. After college, she worked in the financial industry for 30 years in both Raleigh and Atlanta. When Tricia retired, she started working part time for Hayes Barton in 2001 as the Assistant Business Administrator.  This job mainly involves counting and posting the contributions given to the church and paying the bills!

 

In Tricia’s spare time, she is involved in her Daughters of the American Revolution chapter, loves to travel and enjoys playing bridge and tennis.

Melanie Iversen, (ext. 1112) Church Secretary. 

Mary-Kathryn Connor (ext. 1142) holds a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Meredith College and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has a vast resume of experiences having been a teacher, department chair, and adjunct instructor at Moore Square Middle School, Broughton High School and Meredith College. Through her skillful leadership, Mary-Kathryn brought about instrumental change and success not only in programming but also in student achievement and staff support.

 

Mary-Kathryn is married to Jeff, and they have 3 children: Jordan, Mary-Knowles and Pate. She is an active member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church and is a board member of the Root Elementary PTA, Wee Care Children's Enrichment Program, and the Alexander and Southeast Raleigh YMCA. When she isn't working or volunteering, she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and taking group fitness classes.

Anna Stidham (ext. 1123) joined Hayes Barton in 1986 when she married her husband Fil.  She joined the staff in 2002. As Administrative Assistant of Membership and Lay Involvement, she maintains church membership records and assists in all aspects relating to membership data. 

 

In her past career, Anna worked in the contract furniture industry.  She and her husband Fil, who is in sales with Johnson and Johnson, have 2 daughters, Laura and Sarah.

Janey Hunter (ext. 1147) has been a member of Hayes Barton since 2003. She joined the staff in 2011 as Safe Sanctuaries Facilitator where she still serves as well as handling various administrative support functions including offering administrative support to Pastor Molly.

 

Janey volunteers as a Captain in the Joy Class, and she is a member of UMW Circle 1. When not at church, she volunteers at Broughton High School, enjoys playing tennis and spending time with family. Janey is married to Carey Hunter and they have four children. 

Marshall Parker (ext. 1121) joined the staff of Hayes Barton UMC in 1999, part-time, doing maintenance work and became full-time one year later. He now oversees all aspects of facility maintenance, repair, and cleaning.

Before coming to Hayes Barton, Marshall had a 14-year career as an electrical foreman with H&L Electric in Raleigh. He specialized in new school construction at places such as Jeffreys Grove Elementary, Ligon Middle School, Broughton High School, and Enloe Magnet High School.

Marshall has led the usher team for LightHouse Worship since its inception in 2002. He is an active member of the United Methodist Men and helps lead the annual pig-pickin and summer pancake breakfasts. Away from the church, Marshall is an outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, and beaching!
