Hayes Barton Outreach Volunteer Needs

Hayes Barton Outreach provides funding, support, and volunteers to a variety of organizations in our community. This pathway currently focuses on food insecurity and families, with an ongoing commitment to the ZOE organization (look for details on an upcoming trip to Rwanda to monitor our involvement there). If you are called to give your gifts and time to a local organization, read on for needs in our community where you can effect change right now, right here!

Neighbor 2 Neighbor, a support organization for communities in need in Southeast Raleigh, is always looking for tutors and playtime help for the kids they serve. They are also sponsoring a ladies' luncheon with Hayes Barton member Janet Chesson as the guest speaker! Learn more at support.n2noutreach.org/womenslunch and find volunteer opportunities at https://www.n2noutreach.org/get-involved.

Inter-faith Food Shuttle is a longtime partner with Hayes Barton. We provide supplies for Backpack Buddies (food for children in schools) and have served at their farm and facility during all of our Scattered to Serve days of service. The farm is looking for assistance for their food stand in April. This stand provides fresh, farm-grown foods to area citizens in need. Sign up for a shift here.

Hayes Barton Sunday School classes, circles, and volunteers have served meals on Friday nights at the Helen Wright Center for women for years now! Relationships are forged and healthy meals are enjoyed together on Friday nights throughout the year. Friday, June 8th is a night where Hayes Barton will provide and serve; volunteers are needed to continue this time-honored tradition. Contact David Jones for more information.
